Document Expiration, Optional Line Items & Attachments

Fine-tune how your documents behave after they're sent with expiration dates, optional line items, and attachments.

Document Expiration lets you set a deadline after which an unsigned document automatically becomes invalid. This keeps outdated pricing from being accepted weeks later and creates useful urgency for the signer, you'll see the document marked as expired on your dashboard, and you can resend a fresh copy if the customer still wants to move forward.

Optional line items let you offer signers a checklist of add-ons within a quote or proposal, extra services, upgraded packages, or accessories, that they can select or deselect before signing. Whatever the signer chooses is reflected in the final pricing and, if enabled, the auto-generated invoice, so upsells are captured without a separate back-and-forth conversation.

Attachments let you include supporting files, a spec sheet, a certificate of insurance, a terms and conditions PDF, or reference photos, alongside the main document or built into a template. Attachments travel with the document through email, SMS, and public links, so signers have everything they need in one place.

To configure these options, open a document or template and look for Expiration, Optional Items, and Attachments in the settings panel, each can be toggled on independently to match how you sell.
