Voice AI isn't limited to answering inbound calls, it can also place outbound calls on your behalf, following the same natural conversation flow as your inbound agent, to follow up on leads, confirm appointments, or run reminder campaigns at scale.
Outbound calling uses a flexible framework that lets you define:
- Which contacts or lists to call
- What time windows calls are allowed to go out in
- How many attempts to make and how far apart to space them
- What the agent should say and what outcomes should trigger a workflow (booked, no answer, declined, and so on)
Because outbound calling touches real phone regulations, Voice AI includes a set of compliance checks before a campaign goes live. These checks help you confirm that contacts have given consent to be called, that calling windows respect local time-of-day rules, and that do-not-call preferences are honored, reducing the risk of non-compliant calling.
Every outbound call is logged the same way inbound calls are, with a transcript, recording, and outcome tag, so you can measure connect rates, qualification rates, and booked appointments from your campaigns just as you would with a human dialer, but running continuously in the background.
To set up an outbound campaign, go to AI Employee -> Voice AI -> Outbound, select your contact list and calling window, and review the compliance checklist before launching.
