Membership and Communities

Paid Groups, Paid Courses and Gamification in Communities

Communities are built to do more than host discussions, you can monetize membership directly and keep members engaged with built-in gamification, all inside the same community space.

Paid Groups let you charge for access to a community or a specific group within it, turning your community into a recurring revenue stream rather than a free add-on to your other offers. Members pay to join, and access is managed automatically based on their subscription status.

Paid Courses inside Communities take this further by letting you sell course content directly within the community experience, rather than sending members to a separate area of your account. Members can browse, purchase, and consume course content in the same place they discuss, ask questions, and connect with each other, keeping engagement and learning in one experience instead of two disconnected products.

Gamification, points, badges, and a leaderboard, rewards members for participating: posting, commenting, completing lessons, or hitting other milestones you define. A visible leaderboard and badge system gives members a reason to keep showing up, which in turn keeps your paid community and courses active instead of going quiet after the first month.

To set these up, open Communities, enable paid access for a group, attach a course for sale, and turn on points, badges, and the leaderboard under community settings.
